This photo shows a fast-shutter speed.
The shutter speed I used to freeze this action is 1/400 second. The ISO for this photo is 4500. The white balance was set to automatic. The action that I froze in this image is the four ping pong balls being thrown. My point of view for this photo is straight on. The tools that I used in this photo were the levels tool and grayscale. I used the levels tool to darken the image and make it look more sharp. I used the rule of thirds for this image by having him directly in the center of the photo. The negative space in this photo is the bacl sheet in the back and the postive space is him and the ping pong balls. These were some of the tools I used for this photo and how I had taken it.

This photo shows a slow-shutter speed.
The shutter speed that I used to freeze this action was 1/5 second. The ISO was set to 800. The white balance was set on automatic. All of the people walking down the stairs besides Grace who is standing still are showing blur. I took the photo towards the side view of these students, not directly right on. The tools that I had used in this photo were the levels tool and grayscale. I used the levels tool to make the image darker and sharper. I also used the rule of thirds. Grace is the center of the photo. She is the only person that is not blurry in the photo because the attention is supposed to be brought to her in this image. The negative space in this photo would be the wall on the right and the window at the top of the stairs.

Reflection questions
For this photo, the shutter speed that we had the camera on was four seconds. The light source used here was the string light. I achieved this effect by having a student swing the light source in circles very fast, multiple times, all circling around in different directions. The impact that this photo has is the curiousity of how this image was created. The light is going in so many different directions and circles very fast. The viewers may wonder how we got the photo to follow the rule of thirds as well.

This photo shows a shallow depth of field.
The f-stop the camera was set on to create this shallow depth of field was 2.8. The ISO was set to 20. The white balance settings I used was fluorescent lighting. I used this kind of lighting because we had the light set up directly on the game board.

This photo demonstrates a large depth of field.
The f-stop this photo was set to, to create this large depth of field was 2.8. The ISO of this photo was 320. The white balance of this photo is fluorescent lighting. This is because the photo was taken under the lights of the school hallway.
